Survivorship

Sadly, I am now a part of a worldwide sisterhood that I never wanted to join. I am a domestic violence and financial abuse survivor. It is an experience that changed me forever. However, I am not a victim. I am determined to empower others through survivorship, and my skills as a speaker, writer, and artist.

Do you know how pervasive abuse is?

  • More than 1 in 4 women will experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime.

  • 1 in 5 women will be raped in her lifetime.

  • 50% of people experience verbal or emotional abuse in their relationships.

  • AND 98% of those who experience domestic abuse also experience financial abuse.

The number one reason people stay or return to a domestic abuse situation is financial abuse. If you never heard the term financial abuse, you aren't alone. Nearly 75% of Americans never heard it either. I want to change that. If you want to solve a problem, you need to understand it first. I understand it and I plan to make others aware of it.

If you are experiencing abuse of any kind. I want you to know, you aren't alone. You can and will survive. I did it and you can too. I will tell you my story in my new book: Survivorship: How I Survived My Personal 9-11 and You Can Too. It will be available here soon. In the meantime there are plenty of videos and interviews I have done that you can view on YouTube. You can also attend one of my retreats or workshops.
