Public Speaking
In August 2019, I travelled to Chicago to begin speaking out about domestic violence and financial abuse. My coach, Holly, had recommended me to be featured alongside two other survivors in PSA's about financial abuse created by the Allstate Foundation & the prestigious Leo Burnett & company. In September of the same year, I was interviewed in New York City by several media outlets alongside 23 time Grand Slam Tennis Champion, Serena Williams. She was then the ambassador for the Purple Purse, a financial abuse and domestic violence awareness campaign. Allstate estimates that the campaign received over 8.2 million engagements and that my personal PSA was viewed more than 3 million times in the first year.

In September of 2020, my brother and I released The Truth Is, a video in which I share about my own experience of financial abuse as it relates to domestic violence, and my economic recovery through financial empowerment coaching at People's Place. The video debuted in Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence's (DCADV) Domestic Violence 101 training course.
In October of 2020, I was a panelist at the National Economic Justice Summit at the Biden Institute (Yes, that Biden) at the University of Delaware. We discussed the importance of implementing safe and supportive workplace practices for Domestic Violence and Financial Abuse survivors like myself.
Through my association with DCADV, I also had the opportunity to address the Delaware Joint Finance Committee to advocate for continued support for programs and services that benefit survivors like me in my current home state of Delaware.
I will continue to speak, educate, and advocate for survivors and the resources we need. I am available to speak to communities, churches, schools, as well as at conferences, retreats, and workshops about survivorship.
